Canoe trips

Here in Lapland you can paddle for a day or two or just for a few hours on lakes or one of the numerous rivers in fabulous nature in the region.\ From the water we see the nature of Sweden again from a completely new perspective. The landscape is dreamlike and wild!\ Discover the breathtaking nature of the north on a canoe trip on lakes with naughty coves and dreamlike rivers. Combine a tour with fishing, a break at a cozy place with campfires – or a swim in the crystal clear waters. Explore paradise on your own or accompanied by one of our guides. The tours are good for beginners, advanced and families.\ You do not have to have any previous knowledge to take part in a canoe trip in northern Sweden.\ Have no experience: no problem; First of all, we give you instructions in practice, what you have to consider during a canoe trip in Lapland. So that you have fun, security and the skills for a great adventure.

Fishing

Whether you want to fish for trout, grayling, char, whitefish, perch, pike or even salmon, they can all be found in abundance in the waters around us. We offer good fishing opportunities and experiences in the heart of Swedish Lapland, both for edible fish and trophy fish. Do you prefer small or large lakes, ponds, streams, or large rivers and streams? The choice of water is up to you. Fly fishing, spin fishing or bait fishing? We leave this entirely up to your taste and preferences. You decide which type of fish, water and type of fishing you prefer.

Husky trekking

What do sled dogs actually do in the summer?\ Although they like to relax and sunbathe, you also like to work at this time of year.\ Hiking with huskies, an unparalleled experience. Putting on the hiking shoes and going out into the wilderness gives you a sense of freedom that should be experienced by everyone.\ Explore the wilderness with our four-legged friends who howl motivated and are full of energy and power. Our trusty and cuddled skin noses are always happy about caresses. As you hike, build intense and close contact with your dogs and become a team. Enjoy the harmony between man, animal and nature. You will learn a lot about the care, attitude and work with the sled dogs. Equipped with a special belly strap and a leash, they have their hands free during the hike. Whether a hike of several hours over the floor and stone, or a leisurely exploring nature with the family – everyone gets your money’s worth. In the summer during the berry season, our huskies also like to snack on blueberries – directly from the plant. So pick up berries, the fresher you won't get berries.

Log Cabin

Our rustic log cabin is just 500 metres from the lodge on the other side of the lake. Over the covered veranda with a view of the lake you can get directly into the homely living space. The dining table in front of the window and the cozy sofa corner with the fireplace invite you to stay.\ In the evening enjoy a roaring fireplace and candlelight, or admire the northern lights from the porch. This is perfect for relaxing and dangling the soul. The small kitchen niche has a refrigerator with freezer, microwave station wagon and 2 induction stovetops. The essentials of cooking utensils, such as dishes and spices, are available. The bathroom is equipped with a shower. The bedroom with room for 2 people is very small, but it is enough.\ The house is heated with electroradiators.\ Wi-Fi and TV are available. On the shore of the lake there is a fireplace. In summer, the crystal clear water invites you to swim. Directly next to the house is the car park.\ The log cabin is ideal for 2 people.\ For families, the guest stuga, which is only 10 m away, can be rented. There is room for up to 3 other people. The Stuga consists of a room, has electricity and heating, but no running water. The log cabin can be booked alone or in a package of activities. Dogs are welcome.

Motor boat trip

An excursion on our large lake which has many arms and behind every bend nature has new surprises ready. A break on the small island in the middle of the lake, light a campfire and roast a sausage. Go up the creek to another world. With a little luck we can observe swans, cranes, reindeer or moose from the boat.\ Max 4 people. Ideal with children. Dogs are also welcome to come along.

Quad tours

We drive through the endless forests, past many rivers and streams and naughty lakes.\ The Quad Tours will take you through breathtaking and glorious landscapes while absorbing nature.\ The ride on the quad also gives you a sense of freedom and brings your adrenaline up.\ We drive on forest roads and gravel roads. (not off-road crossings, this is prohibited in Sweden) With a bit of luck, you will see moose, reindeer, snakes, cape and birkh/chicken, fox, hare, many bird species and what else lives here in the forests of the north. The tour to the old Sami hut or the Reivo Nature Reserve can be done great with the quad. Prices including gasoline for the quad and helmet.\ The minimum age to drive a quad is 18 years, this requires possession of a valid driving license.\ Safety always comes first for us. The speed is adapted to the terrain and the skills of the participants.\ Wearing a helmet is mandatory.\ Group size 1-5 participants\ 2 jewils can drive the other socius on the back, drivers can of course change during the tour so that everyone can drive.\ The rear seat is comfortable, offers enough space, has a backrest and lateral grips to keep fes. Therefore also possible for children from about 8 years.

About Wilderness Life

We were born and grew up in Switzerland. Here in Lapland we have fulfilled a dream. It wasn't planned, but as luck would sometimes play, there is a chance. We have been together since 2010. Starting with 2 huskies, we now have a pack of 11 fur noses that belong to the family for us. The well-being and health of animals is always our top priority.
Due to our common interest in nature and animals as well as the desire for a professional change, we founded the Huskytrek company a few years ago. So turned the hobby into a profession. Everyone has their area of ??responsibility, everyone has their strengths and weaknesses but together we complement each other well and are a great team.
We are both busy learning Swedish.
